Donuts

Mybrain and mouth love them but my body does not like them one bit. All the processed junk in them I guess so I avoid them until I found a way to make them using whole ingredients. Maybe not wholesome LOL but still better than what I would buy at our local donut shop.
 
This morning we made these little donuts using our biscuit cutters that have 4 different sizes. Before the teens woke I made chocolate ones using the big cutter.

Then they made these little ones using the small cutter. We made them for a 4H meeting we hae this afternoon and they turned out fun to make.

Over at Be it Ever so Humble posted about them yesterday and pinned it on Pinterest. Of course I did to and had to try this fun little recipe. There is only a cup of sugar but I think I might try them with brown rice syrup or honey next time for part or all the sweetner. Today I followed the recipe except for adding cocoa on the first batch. I used sucanant for the sugar and organic on the other ingredients.
 
I wonder what other flours I could use...I did find a gluten-free in a book hmmmm. Ideas Ideas!
